A Racing Round Robin Tournament

Two archers are racing against each other to hit a series of targets, the fastest one to hit all targets, or who hits the most targets in the allotted number of arrows will win the round! We are aiming to run either a round robin or roundest robin tournament format based on the number of entrants. At least 6 arrows will be required, but participants are encouraged to bring 12 or more if available. The top archers with the highest scores in the tournament will have a final race to determine who will be the next Baronial Archery Champion of Concordia of the Snows.

Fencing

Fencing Marshal In Charge (MIC):
Brigid nyn Thomas O’Neill

Friday

Hosts: Lorita DeSiena and Pan Mikulaj von Meissen

Can’t a girl just enjoy a day with friends over, partaking in the latest round of her wares? Apparently not, because even with the “check your weapons at the door” rule, a fight has broken out in the tavern! Lorita will reward the person who puts an end to the chaos with a bottle or two from her private reserve.

This tournament will be fought as a Roman melee. Combatants start seated at a table with secondary weapons on the table and their swords down by their side. Combatants can only pick up their own secondary. Permitted secondary weapons are those that would have been available inside a tavern: dagger, goblet/tankard, cloak, cane/stick. Two-hander, buckler, spear, and case are not permitted. In keeping with the spirit of a tavern brawl, there will be a five second countdown before “lay on” is called in which combatants are encouraged to throw shade/call out insults (keep it PG-13). Two melee rounds will be run. The final will be the “last ones standing” facing off in single elimination. A double kill in the final will be refought once. The tournament prize is homebrewed nonalcoholic ginger beer.

Host: Alastar Tucker

A casual historical fencing/martial A&S experience for all skill levels. Fence, chat, and nerd out over historical fencing. There will be prizes for truest to form for each pool (early and late period, with balancing based on weapons, ie the short basket hilt wont have to face rapiers, and the very long longsword might end up in late period), and possibly a “best kit for stated system/persona.” No prize for prowess, I want folks to be able to focus on fighting true to their system, not their win/loss record.

Sunday

Host: Scholar Siegfried Goostov

3 rounds of magic points bring your best ( fight all 3 with 1 double allowed per set) if any fencer gets 3 stocked or loses all 3 they get smote for the grate goose in the sky and are knocked out of the tournament.

From magic points we will move on to semi-finals where are top 4 will fight a best of 3 with only the longsword this will be fight doubles till clean if a fencer does not have a longsword authorization they must fight single

Finals will be best of 5 losers picks form starting with single however long sword will not be an option in its place we will be using spear. If a fencer does not wish to fight against a spear they have that option but will take a loss. If a fencer does not have an authorization in the chosen form they must fight single.
